Bear Bryant

Bear Bryant

Paul "Bear" Bryant was born in Moro Bottom, Arkansas. Paul later took a scholarship to the University of Alabama to play football. Later in life, Bryant began his coaching career at Alabama as an assistant. After his first experience of being a coach he entered the Navy in WWII. Later in his life he received the head football coaching job at the University Maryland. After his coaching job at Maryland, he coached Kentucky, Texas A&M, and finally landing at Alabama. Bryant was one of the first coaches to push for African-American players to join the College Football League. Bear Bryant's legacy ended with six national titles and thirteen SEC championships. The "Bear" will be remembered as one of the greatest football coaches in the country. I my opinion the Bear will always be the best football coach ever!
